Vijay felicitated Praggnanandhaa with cheque of ₹50 lakh days after the 20-year-old from Tamil Nadu became the first Indian to win the Norway Chess title. 

 Sukhendu Sekhar Ray, a leader of the Trinamool Congress, has stepped down from the Rajya Sabha and announced his exit from the party.  

 Vijay’s absence has raised eyebrows because the Congress, a key INDIA bloc constituent, is now a partner in the TVK-led government in Tamil Nadu. 

 INDIA bloc meeting LIVE: A total of 23 political parties will take part in the meeting and will rework the strategy to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, DMK and Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are set to skip the meeting.
