Posted on social media, the sketch followed uproar over a Tourette’s advocate who unintentionally yelled a racial slur during a Bafta Awards moment last weekend with two Black actors onstage. Emma McNally, CEO of Tourette Action, stated: “We hoped for a fresh start this week, but new online content mocking Tourette’s and turning our community into a joke has only intensified the pain.” She went on: “I want to make this crystal clear: THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Mocking a disability is never okay.” It wouldn’t be tolerated for any other condition, and it shouldn’t be tolerated by people with Tourette’s. A really tough week.
