The incident occurred in Lai Kheda village under Tilhar police station area, where a wedding procession from Bareilly had arrived at a Dalit household. 

 On Saturday, Amit Shah doubled down on his rhetoric against TMC and said Mamata didi got upset after he threatened TMC’s goons. 

 “For the AAP loss in the Delhi elections, the ‘Sheesh Mahal’ was one of the major reasons,” Chadha said, adding that the row had “badly damaged AAP’s image”. 

 The remarks came after Banerjee criticised Modi over his comments on JU, saying they undermined a premier institution known for academic excellence. 

 Malvinder Singh Kang, who is a Lok Sabha MP from Anandpur Sahib, said that AAP should have considered leaders from Punjab for the Rajya Sabha.
