​Suhana Khan made her way to the wedding ceremony of Arjun Tendulkar and Saaniya Chandhok in Mumbai on Thursday alongside her parents, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. For the occasion, the actor chose a romantic pastel lehenga by Anamika Khanna.. The look leaned entirely into spring-summer’s most covetable language: a pastel palette and an abundance of florals. At weddings where maximalism is often the dress code, her look took the season-appropriate approach of choosing something fun and fresh over heavy opulence. The lehenga set comprised a cap-sleeved blouse with a sweetheart neckline paired with a voluminous, floor-sweeping skirt and a wispy dupatta. The skirt featured alternating panels of kalis in shades of blush pink and mint green, which create a subtle contrast and visual intrigue.. Embroidery played a pivotal part in bringing the ensemble to life. The entire lehenga was doused in thread embroidery that rendered delicate florals and foliage motifs across the surface in a painterly arrangement. The placement of the motifs allowed the skirt to feel richly detailed without appearing dense. Injecting contrast and an ethereal movement to the blush lehenga was a butter yellow organza dupatta. The pop of colour broke the pink monotony and was draped loosely over one shoulder. Along with the same thread embroidery on the lehenga, the dupatta was punctuated with rich zardozi work.. Ami Patel styled the look with a multi-hued gemstone necklace and matching drop earrings. Her makeup was minimal, featuring a dewy base and rose pink hues on the eyes and lips. Her blow-dried hair was styled into soft curls in a half-up-half-down style and finished with a small bouquet of fresh flowers.  

​Most women place menopause far back in their minds, somewhere in their fifties. But for many, this chapter actually begins earlier: around 5% of women enter early menopause between the ages of 40 and 45. Around 1% even experience a premature menopause before the age of 40. Under 30, it is rare, but not impossible, at around 0.1%.. In medical terms, we speak of an early menopause when the last menstruation cycle occurs before the age of 45, explains Dr Dascha Berek, a specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics. If this happens before the age of 40, it is called premature ovarian failure. It affects around one percent of women under 40 and is much rarer in women under 30. Nevertheless, according to Dr Berek, it raises many questions.. Symptoms of an early menopause. The problem is that an early menopause is rarely recognised immediately by doctors; instead, the symptoms are often classified differently or not taken seriously at all. What makes it even more difficult is that the symptoms do not match the image of the menopause that people have in their heads. In younger women in particular, hormonal changes often do not manifest themselves in the classic way, but rather through cycle irregularities, shortened or prolonged cycles, sleep disorders or inner restlessness. All of this is “often initially attributed to stress, psychological strain or lifestyle”, says Berek. Depressive moods, concentration problems, loss of libido or unusual exhaustion also fall into this pattern. However, the symptom most commonly associated with menopause, hot flushes, is often completely absent in the beginning. It is precisely this that leads to hormonal changes remaining unrecognized for a long time. “Many people notice the change in their own wellbeing very clearly, but don’t associate it with menopause,” says the doctor.. When you should take a closer look. There are warning signs that you should definitely take a closer look: “Repeatedly elevated FSH levels, a significant drop in AMH or persistent cycle disorders should be taken seriously,” she says. The same applies to missing your period for several months. According to Dr Berek, even PMS can be a sign of approaching menopause. “The earlier hormonal changes are recognized, the better symptoms can be alleviated and long-term health consequences mitigated.”. Can early menopause be prevented?. Many women wonder whether an early menopause can be stopped or at least delayed. Dr Berek is realistic about this: “Honesty is crucial here. The natural decline in ovarian function cannot be reversed.” Instead of trying to stop the process, it is much more about accompanying it well. Medical care can reduce the consequences of hormonal changes and alleviate symptoms in a targeted manner. For many women, individually tailored hormone replacement therapy can not only alleviate symptoms, but also protect against osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease and cognitive changes, says Dr Berek and is often expressly recommended for very you

Relationship anxiety isn’t always neediness or irrationality, nor is it something to be embarrassed about. According to Alden, it’s usually your brain’s attempt at self-protection. Here are a few reasons it happens, plus strategies to help you trust what’s in front of you.. 1. Past relationship trauma. If you’ve been cheated on, ghosted or dumped suddenly when things seemingly were fine, it makes sense that you might struggle to fully trust a new partner. In these cases, “your brain may have learned to ‘expect’ danger or rejection,” Alden says, “so even neutral situations trigger relationship anxiety.”. 2. General catastrophising. Some people are naturally prone to anxiety and overthinking everything—like a work typo, or a throwaway joke that now feels catastrophic. Unfortunately, their love lives aren’t immune. “They may have a cognitive bias toward worst-case scenarios, and their minds jump from small uncertainties like, “They didn’t call back,” to massive conclusions like, “Oh, they must be losing interest,’” Alden says. Reassurance can provide temporary relief, but unless those underlying patterns of general rumination are addressed, the cycle of spiralling will only continue.. 3. Fear of vulnerability. Trusting someone with your heart is inherently risky. After all, there’s always the possibility that your partner could walk away, no matter what you do “right.” “That vulnerability can trigger an underlying fear—like ‘If I let myself feel secure, I’ll be hurt,’” Alden says. That paranoia can make it feel like you’re staying one step ahead of pain, but on the flip side, you also risk creating tension when there wasn’t any to begin with.. To prevent one intrusive thought from snowballing into a questioning of your entire relationship, Alden recommends pausing and reality-checking yourself with a few grounding questions.
