With the goal of reducing road accidents by 50% by 2030, the Uttarakhand cabinet approved the Road Safety Policy, 2025, in February last year 

 Popular stand-up comedian Pranit More is under fire for allowing and enjoying, along with the audience, a Gurugram man’s obscene monologue at his recent show.  

 Earlier this week, TMC leader Sukhendu Sekhar Ray resigned as Rajya Sabha MP alleging “unbridled corruption” and “anarchical rule” of the party. 

 The developments coincided with the cancellation of the nomination of Congress candidate Meenakshi Natarajan for the Rajya Sabha
