“The accused showed no signs of repentance or potential for reformation. The only appropriate sentence is death,” the court noted in its order 

 The education minister’s remarks come amid the NEET UG row, where the opposition has called for the BJP leader’s resignation over the alleged paper leak. 

 “Siya was not in favour of calling off the engagement, as she thought doing so would bring disrespect to her family,” Chetan allegedly told police. 

 Sanjay Singh claimed that he possesses several documents connected to the allegations being examined by the SIT and would hand them over to the probe panel. 

 Babulal Chaudhary, Chetan’s father, has refuted the allegations against his son and told HT that his son was being framed in the case.
