TMC chief Mamata Banerjee alleges election in 100 seats ‘looted’; experts say defiant stance has no constitutional backing 

 A day after the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) swept the Kerala assembly polls, winning 102 of the state’s 140 seats, camps led by three senior Congress leaders—VD Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala, and KC Venugopal—began hectic lobbying among newly elected party legislators to stake their claim for the chief minister’s post 

 Delhi High Court judge Swarana Kanta Sharma on Tuesday said she would appoint three senior advocates as amicus curiae on Friday to represent former CM Arvind Kejriwal, former deputy CM Manish Sisodia and AAP leader Durgesh Pathak in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI’s) appeal against their discharge in the excise policy case, following the trio’s decision to boycott proceedings
