The Congress has ended its alliance with DMK to support Vijay’s TVK in Tamil Nadu, prompting accusations of betrayal from DMK leader TR Baalu. 

 The killing of Chandranath Rath, personal assistant to BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, has triggered a major political storm 

 As per officials, Adhikari’s personal assistant was targeted by unidentified goons. 

 Mamata Banerjee claimed that the BJP looted the election and indicated that the party would move the Supreme Court over alleged irregularities during counting. 

 Under the operation, India launched a series of precision missile strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and PoK in the early hours of May 7 last year.
